eBay have updated their API and you will need to login to their New API on your eBay sync system

- To log Connect into eBay’s new API you will need to navigate to your eBay stock tree and click the ‘Settings’ button.
- This will open your web browser and take you to the following page.
- Once you login to the eBay account, the web page should show the auth token which you can copy paste to the ‘Ebay auth token’ field on the pop-up box in Connect. Click save and restart Connect.
- In the Back Office area of Connect select ‘Tools>Configure>Stock Locations’.
- Double click on the ‘Ebay Shop’ site and complete all the address fields. Click the save icon at the top. Restart Connect.
- Login to your eBay account. In the top left hand corner hover over your account name and click ‘Account settings’.
- On the eBay page that opens, under the ‘Selling’ drop-down menu there is an option for ‘Business Policies’. You are now required to create payment, postage and return polices here before you can list via Connect.
- Any business policies you create here need to have something in the description field otherwise they will not show in Connect. Once created Connect will download them as part of your eBay sync. You will need to restart Connect.
- Right click the ‘eBay Shop’ category in the eBay tree. Click ‘New’ and then ‘Group’.
- Click ‘Get the latest categories from eBay’
- Select the eBay categories you wish your articles to appear in. Select the lowest level of category for the article you wish to list. You can highlight more than one category by using ‘Ctrl’ and selecting the categories with the mouse.
- Click the arrow (>) to add the categories to the right-hand box and then click ‘Add Categories’ to add them to the eBay tree in Connect. Note: This tree displays how eBay have structured their categories, and it is therefore not changeable here or in Connect.
- Open the Active Stock tree. Then drag articles from the Stock Tree into the Multichannel Centre and drop them into the correct eBay categories. Click the save icon.
- The article information pane shows information about your item. The tabs at the bottom will require information. You will be able to select the policies you created in eBay earlier. Note: All fields highlighted yellow are mandatory and therefore need to be completed.
- The ‘Item Specifics’ tab may require further information.
- Articles that list successfully with have a success showing in the ‘Feed Result’ tab and will appear in your eBay inventory.
- Articles that you have previously listed through Connect and are being relisted either through a return to stock or just a decision to resell them on eBay may need to be reset to show the ‘Policy’ fields in Connect. To do that, right click the product in the eBay stock tree and select ‘Reset Product’.
- Once reset, click off the product and then back on it and you will see the policy fields ready to be completed as per point 14 earlier.
- To log Connect into eBay’s new API you will need to navigate to your eBay stock tree and click the ‘Settings’ button.
